Staff Correspondent: "People who are playing dirty trick with Bangabandhu Sculpture, are in the wrong track, this misunderstanding will end soon" said the Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal.

He made the remarks at a meeting of the Dhaka Metropolitan North Awami League executive committee at noon on Tuesday ,January 5.

The Home Minister said the sculpture was made to present history before the new generation. Those who have vandalized the sculpture of Bangabandhu as well as Bagha Jatin will be duly punished.

He also said that a section of conspirators are causing such incidents to creaty unstability.He warned that nobody will be spared regarding the sculpture issue.

An unfinished sculpture of Bangabandhu was vandalized at an impotant intersection in Kustia town on 5th december. Police found two students of Ibne Masud Madrasha damaged the sculpture. They were identified as Abu Bakar and Nahid from the CCTV footages. Police arrested four persons including them.
