No child took the responsibility of the father

Moulvibazar Correspondent: Elderly Arun Dey who raised three children with his hard work today those children expressing their inability to take care of their sick father. Hundreds of requests from the police and locals could not awaken their conscience.

Elderly Arun Dey (65) has been lying on the steps of his house at Shah Mostafa Manzil in Moulvibazar since morning. No one came forward from inside the house.

Seeing this situation, the inspector of the family planning office of Moulvibazar Sadar Upazila Ajay Roy informed about the helplessness of the old man by calling 999. Upon receiving the news, a team of police under the supervision of Moulvibazar Model Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Golam Maturja and Police Inspector (Operation) Mohammad Mashiur Rahman rushed to the old man's house on the instructions of Moulvibazar District Superintendent of Police Mohammad Zakaria. Arriving at the spot, the man was rescued and brought to Moulvibazar Sadar Hospital and took all the responsibility of treatment.

It is learned that Arun Dey (65) was the confectioner of the elite manager stall of the city for a long time. He has two sons Bilpab Dey and Arjun Dey and a daughter named Rita Dey. His second child Arjun died leaving behind his wife and children. He has been living there for 25 years. The eldest son Bilpab De married and lived with his wife in a rented house in Sylhet and worked as a goldsmith in Sunamganj. He does not inquire about anyone.

Moulvibazar Model Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Golam Maturza said, "After receiving the news, we rescued the old man in an almost unconscious state and admitted him to a 250-bed hospital in Moulvibazar." He is currently undergoing treatment there. We have contacted the family's sons and daughters and the son's wife more than once. But no one is agreeing to take responsibility for their father. The daughter-in-law, who was living with her daughter-in-law, expressed her helplessness and said that she could not take charge of her father-in-law. Who will this old man go to now? He sought the help of the heartfelt people of the society to stand by this helpless old man for humanitarian reasons.
