Staff Correspondent: For anti-sculpture statements, in cooperation with the BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia and her son Tarique Rahman, senior vice chairman and secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has been sued for defamation.

The case was filed in the court of Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Satyabrata Sikder on Wednesday (December 9) by AB Siddiqui, president of Jannetri Parishad. The court said it would take the plaintiff's statement and issue an order later.

Hefazat-e-Islam's acting Amir Junaid Ahmed Babungari, Bangladesh Khilafah Majlis's acting secretary general Muhammad Mamunul Haque and Syed Faizul Karim of the Islamic regime have also been accused of making anti-sculpture statements in the case.

The plaintiff in the case AB Siddiqui confirmed the matter to the media.

According to the case, the joint secretary general of Hifazat-e-Islam said in a speech at a discussion meeting of Hifazat-e-Islam at BMA Bhaban auditorium on Topkhana Road in the capital on November 13 this year that there would be no sculpture in Bangladesh and the father of the nation would not be allowed to sculpt. Junaid Ahmed Babungari, the current acting emir of Hifazat-e-Islam, said at Hathazari in Chittagong on November 26 that there would be no sculpture if the country left with the Medina Charter. He threatened the government that he would create another shapla square if he did not stop the construction of the sculpture. Speaking at a public meeting of the Islamic regime in front of the National Mosque Baitul Mukarram, Faizul Haque said, "If any sculpture is made in Bangladesh, all the sculptures will be broken and thrown into the Buriganga." If necessary, it will be gathered at Shapla Chattar again.

Earlier, Begum Khaleda Zia had said at a rally of Hifazat-e-Islam at Shapla Chattar led by Begum Khaleda Zia that she would bring down Sheikh Hasina by 8 am. You keep working that way. Hefazat-e-Islam militants then set fire to the National Mosque Baitul Mukarram on the orders of Babungari and burnt the Holy Quran. Since independence, these extremist anti-independence activists have continued their misdeeds and are humiliating the country to the world by distorting the father of the nation, the map of the country, the national flag and the history of the liberation war.

The defeated groups Jamaat-e-Islami, Al-Badr, Razakar and war criminals were defeated in the 1971 war of independence. The history of chaos and independence and the propaganda to erase the memory of the father of the nation has been creating chaos among the people in the country. Which is creating misunderstanding among the people of the country about the history of an independence. Since then, the anti-independence Pakistani brokers have been carrying out anti-national misdeeds in this country one after another.

On August 21, 2004, Begum Khaleda Zia, the chairperson of the Pakistani Dalalchakra, allied herself with these militants and killed 24 Awami League leaders and activists with a grenade attack by militants along with her son Tareq Rahman to assassinate Sheikh Hasina, the daughter of the father of the nation. Sheikh Hasina survived by the infinite mercy of God. Also in 2014, under the leadership of Begum Khaleda Zia, Jamaat Shibir and BNP thugs killed thousands of innocent people with a horrific petrol bomb. In this situation, the Islamic militant group led by Begum Khaleda Zia broke the arm of the Father of the Nation sculpture in Kushtia on the night of December 4 with their thugs. Dhaka University broke an ear of sweet sculpture. So the plaintiff thinks, This country was born under the leadership of that father. An independent Bangladesh broke the hand of that father, BNP-Jamaat, Hifazat-e-Islam, Islamic Shams-e-Tantra, all these Islamic organizations who plan to create Pakistan by undermining the sovereignty of this country's independence and want to erase the name of the father of the nation. Therefore, in the interest of justice, by making the accused against the accused under sections 500/506/109 and 427 of the Penal Code, I am requesting the issuance of arrest warrant against the accused during the criminal period.
