Staff Reporter: The ruling Awami League has announced party candidates for 25 municipalities ahead of the upcoming municipal elections. Of these, 5 are in Rangpur division, 4 in Rajshahi division, 3 in Khulna division, 4 in Barisal division, 3 in Dhaka division, 2 in Mymensingh division, 3 in Sylhet division and 1 in Chittagong division.
The nominations were given at a meeting of the party's Local Government Representative Nomination Board at Ganobhaban, the official residence of Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina, on Saturday (November 28th). The meeting was chaired by Nomination Board President Sheikh Hasina.
