Chhatra League against sculpture opponents

Staff Reporter: Bangladesh Chhatra League, an ally of the ruling party, has announced to build resistance instead of protesting against the vandalism and insult of sculptures.

The BCL leaders made the announcement at a rally following a protest procession at the foot of the anti-terrorism Raju sculpture at Dhaka University on Sunday (December 6).

In his speech, BCL central president Al Nahyan Khan Joy said, "Those who did not recognize Bangladesh, as the ghosts of Pakistan invaded Bangladesh in the dark of night, listened to the Pakistani fathers who insulted the sculpture of the father of the nation. Before giving, he will break their arms and legs by mass beating them. Then send it to Pakistan. ”

He warned the vandals, "Don't come in the dark of night, Babys. You come in the day. Come forward and talk. I will deal with you alone. I am Al Nahyan Khan Joy alone, one hundred. ”

Writer Bhattacharya, general secretary of Chhatra League, said at the rally, 'You threaten with words. You say that this country is a country of ninety percent Muslims. But ninety-nine percent of Muslims oppose you. You despise such actions. So who gave you the right to represent the Muslims of this Muslim majority country? Who gave you the right to talk about the emotions of the people of Bangladesh, the constitution, the interests of the state? You have to make it clear. ”

He said, “Like the revelation, he suddenly started saying in the morning that there will be no sculpture. Strange thing! You were repeatedly warned. But yesterday you violated your limits. Bangladesh Chhatra League has a lot of patience. Many have protested. But now Bangladesh Chhatra League will not believe in protest. It will build resistance against you. ”

Sanjit Chandra Das, president of Dhaka University Chhatra League, said, “If you beat me, everything will be fine. On 5-6 May 2013, the lords were fed tablets, then the head was fixed. Now the head is broken again. Now it's time to feed the tablets again. ”

Saddam Hossain, general secretary of Dhaka University Chhatra League, Ibrahim Hossain, president of Dhaka Metropolitan North, Saidur Rahman Hridoy, general secretary, Mehedi Hasan, president of Dhaka Metropolitan South and Jubayer Ahmed, general secretary also spoke at the protest rally.
