Staff Reporter: Police have charged batons in the anti-sculpture procession that came out from the front of the National Mosque Baitul Mukarram after Friday prayers. Then the procession was dispersed. A large number of police are still deployed in the area.

Police blocked the procession from Baitul Mukarram to Paltan on Friday (December 4th) at noon. At that time bricks were thrown at the police.

Motijheel Zone ADC Enamul Haque Mithu said meetings were banned. We were already alert about this. Suddenly a group was going from Baitul Mukarram to Shahbag. We barricaded the platoon. They broke it. Then we dispersed them.
