Four killed in bus-CNG clash

Sun News Desk : Four people were killed when a passenger bus hit a CNG-powered auto-rickshaw at Chirirbandar in Dinajpur on Thursday.

The deceased were identified as Uttam Roy, 35, and his wife Pallabi Roy, 32. However, the names of the two dead children could not be known.

Locals said an auto-rickshaw from Nawabganj was going to Dinajpur town in the morning. On the way, a passenger bus of Keya Paribahan heading to Phulbari from Dinajpur hit the auto-rickshaw in that area.Two children of the autorickshaw died on the spot.

Four people, including the autorickshaw driver, were taken to Dinajpur M Abdur Rahim Medical College Hospital with serious injuries. Later, two persons died there.

Bajlur Rashid, officer-in-charge of Chirirbandar Police Station, confirmed the matter.
