Four killed being hit by bus

Sun News Desk : At least 4 people were killed when a BRTC bus ran over an auto van in Dinajpur on Tuesday.

The deceased were identified as van driver Nazrul Islam Naju, 45, a resident o Plan Bazar area under Khansama Upazila in Dinajpur, Abdul Majid, 50, of Plan Bazar Battali village of the same upazila, Lata Ya Chakma, 52, and Saingho Chakma, 45, hailed from Teknaf Upazila in Cox's Bazar district.

Police said that an auto van was standing in Ranirbandar Bazar with passengers. At that time, a BRTC bus heading from Dinajpur to Rangpur hit the van from the opposite direction. Four people killed on the spot.

Zakir Sikder, Chirirbandar Police Station officer-in-charge, confirmed the matter.

On information, police and Chirirbandar Fire Service personnel are doing rescue work, the OC added.
