No Security Threat in Thirty First Night: Home Minister

Staff Correspondent: There is no security threat of any kind around Thirty First night, Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said. "If anyone wants to cause an incident centering on Thirty First, our security forces will not remain silent," he said. However, our intelligence does not have any information about such threats. Still, we are ready. ”

He was responding to a question from reporters after the BGB medal ceremony at the BGB headquarters in Peelkhana on Wednesday (December 30th).

The Home Minister said the BGB has now been developed as a three-dimensional force. BGB is becoming self-sufficient in air, water and land.

Earlier, the Home Minister awarded medals to a total of 59 people in four categories in recognition of their heroic and meritorious work in various activities of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in 2020. Among the recipients, 10 have been awarded Border Guard Bangladesh Medal (BGBM), 20 have been awarded Presidential Border Guard Medal (PBGM), 10 have been awarded Border Guard Bangladesh Medal Service (BGBMS) and 19 have been awarded Presidential Border Guard Medal Service (PGBMS).

He said the BGB has an important and great responsibility to protect the country's borders. Despite various limitations, the BGB's success in border security, preventing smuggling, drug trafficking and trafficking of women and children is commendable. In particular, the BGB has been able to show special achievements in preventing the smuggling of yaba, phencidyl and other drugs. The BGB is playing an admirable role in the construction of the country including maintaining law and order.
