College girl stabbed to dead

Sun News Desk : A teenage girl stabbed to death after rape by miscreants in her house in Narsingdi on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Bina Mitra, 20, daughter of Bhajan Mitra. She was a 12th grader of Ghorashal Musa Bin Hakim Degree College.

Police said Bina got married with one Sanjay Mitra two years ago. After two months of their marriage, Bina returned home due to misunderstanding between them. Since then, she has been living with her family and Sanjay used to visit her often.

On Friday night, Bina along with her family members returned home from Rath Yatra festival. At that time, the victim's mother went to visit a local doctor near to their house and Bina went to her room to study.

Later, at around 9 pm the victim's mother returned home and found the stripped and blood stained body of the teenage girl lying down on the ground. Locals then informed police.

Since the incident, Bina's husband went missing, they said.

Md Eliyas, Palash Police Station officer-in-charge, said being informed, police recovered the body from the spot and sent it to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
