BNPE Has Gone Bankrupt

Staff Reporter: Awami League general secretary and the Minister of Road Transport and Bridges said, those who are going to take themselves into bankruptcy, them talking about others is ridiculous. In fact, the BNPE is now bankrupt.

He said this in response to the statement of the BNP secretary general who was virtually involved in the inauguration ceremony of two bridges under the Khulna road zone on Sunday (November 14) morning. "The Awami League has gone bankrupt," he said, adding that such statements by BNP leaders have become a source of entertainment for the people.

Obaidul Quader said those who are afraid to go to the side of the people and those who have been abandoned by the people are now bankrupt. The BNP is afraid to go for elections or movements even if it talks about democracy. That is why they are bankrupt. The parties that make statements seeking foreign intervention do not have to point the finger at bankruptcy.

Earlier, a 305-meter-long Manikkhali bridge on the Satkhira-Asashuni-Goaldanga-Paikgachha road at a cost of around Tk 37 crore and a 140-meter-long bridge on the Kushtia (Trimohoni) Meherpur-Chuadanga-Jhenaidah road at a cost of around Tk 22 crore which Obaidul Quader inaugurated two newly constructed bridges under the Khulna zone.

In this regard, the Minister said that the two bridges are of great importance as the Mathabhanga Bridge has resulted in uninterrupted communication between Mujibnagar, the first capital of Bangladesh and other parts of the country including Dhaka.
