Own Correspondent: Jatiya Party Chairman and Deputy Leader of the Opposition Golam Mohammad Quader MP has said that killings are going on in the name of Union Parishad elections. In the name of elections, farce and joke are going on in the country. The Election Commission has shown complete failure to maintain a fair election environment. The Constitution has given a lot of power to the Election Commission for free, fair and neutral elections. But they are not exercising power for fair elections. The Election Commission has to take the responsibility for the failure to maintain a fair election environment.
Jatiya Party Chairman Golam Mohammad Quader made the remarks at the inaugural function of the Jatiya Medical Technologists Council at the Jatiya Party Chairman's Banani office auditorium on Thursday (November 11). The Jatiya Medical Technologists Council will function as an affiliate of the Jatiya Party from today.
Speaking as the chief guest, Jatiya Party Chairman Golam Mohammad Quader further said that not only the Ministry of Health but all the ministries are rife with corruption. Referring to the quote of former finance minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith, Ghulam Mohammad Quader said about corruption, not the theft of ponds, now the sea is being stolen.
Meanwhile, Jatiya Party general secretary Mujibul Haque Chunnu MP said that before the election, the Awami League had announced that it would provide door-to-door service. But, unfortunately, the truth is, in the country, billions of unemployed people are now on the run for jobs. He said the country was rife with corruption. Ministry drivers own hundreds of crores of Taka, clerk's wife owns thousands of crores of Taka. There can be no more shameful event than this. He says people are uneasy with Awami League and BNP. The people of the country want to see the Jatiya Party in power in the next elections.
