BNP wants to take revenge by burning people: Quader

DHAKA: Awami League General Secretary and Minister for Road Transport and Bridges Minister said, the opposition rejected the election and the movement of the fire burning people seeking revenge through terrorism.

He made the allegation while addressing a conference of Awami League at Bagmara Upazila in Rajshahi on Saturday (November 14). Obaidul Quader joined the conference via video conference from his official residence.

He said the BNP's past conspiracies, their political culture of murder and terrorism. In the recent past, they also celebrated the killing of people through petrol bombs and arson. They set fire to the bus in 2013 in the same way as they got on the bus with gunpowder.

Obaidul Quader said, there is video footage of the bus burning incident, everything is old and familiar. Police are trying to unravel the mystery of a phone conversation centering on this incident.

Meanwhile, addressing the leaders and workers, the general secretary of the Awami League said, no pocket committee can be formed, sacrificers and party devotees should be given a place in the committee.

Bagmara Upazila Awami League President Engineer Enamul Haque presided over the conference. Awami League Organizing Secretary SM Kamal Hossain, Rajshahi City Corporation Mayor Khairuzzaman Liton, District Awami League President Meraj Uddin Mollah, General Secretary Golam Sarwar Abul and others were present.
