Numerous vehicles have been stranded on the Daulatdia-Paturia route waiting to cross the river.

On Wednesday (November 11) from 8 am on the Daulatdia-Khulna highway from the zero point of Daulatdia Ghat in Rajbari and from the Goaland junction on the Rajbari-Kushtia regional highway there are freight truck serials.

The drivers have been suffering from waiting for the river for a long time. They can't even take a bath, eat, go to the bathroom.

Truck drivers said their suffering did not end there. Day after day, they are stuck on the road waiting for the river to cross. And this problem is not new, it is long-standing. The only way to solve the problem is to build a bridge on the Daulatdia-Paturia route.

Mahbub Hossain, assistant manager of BIWTC's Daulatdia Ghat, said that when the traffic pressure increased from time to time, serials of some vehicles were made at the Daulatdia end. There are no other vehicles in the serial except freight trucks.

At present 16 ferries are plying on this route. However, due to the low water level of the river, the ferry could not be crowded at Ghat No.6.
