Sun News Desk : A Bangladeshi has been shot dead by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) along Kalirhat border at Patgram upazila of Lalmonirhat today.

The deceased was identified as Yusuf Ali, 25, son of Surjamal, a resident of Meserdanga village under Jagatber union of the upazila.

Jagatber union chairman Mostafizur Rahman said "10-12 Bangladeshi cattle traders went to India through border to bring cows. When they were returning back with the cows, a patrol team of BSF opened fire on them, leaving Yusuf dead on the spot. But others managed to flee."
