Sun News Desk : A man and his wife have been died from electrocution in Chandpur on Friday.

The deceased were- Momin Miah, 60, and his wife Nurzahan Begum, 50, -- both residents of Mijhir Bari area in the village.
Quoting family members, Kalocho Dakshin Union Parishad chairman Golam Mostofa Shwapan said Momin Miah came in contact with electricity when he was feeding a bird in a case which was electrified by a torn wire. At that time Momin's wife also electrocuted as she attempted to protect her husband. The couple was critically injured.

Relatives rescued them and took to Hajiganj Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctor Dr Muntaha Mou declared them dead.
Mohammad Zubair Sayed, Hajiganj Police Station officer-in-charge, said being informed, police recovered the bodies and handed those over to their family members without autopsy upon their relatives request.
