Sun News Desk : A Bangladeshi man was shot dead by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) along Thakurpar border in Chuadanga.

The deceased was- Rabiul Islam, a cow trader and son of Rahmatullah, a resident of Pirpurkulla village in the upazila.

The incident happened inside Indian territory along Thakurpur border on Wednesday midnight.

Several residents of Thakurpur village said three to four cow traders, including Rabiul, illegally crossed the border into India to bring cows.

Sensing their presence, a petrol team of BSF opened fire on them at Rangiarpota village in India, leaving Rabiul dead on the spot, they said.

His cohorts, however, managed to escape, the villagers added.
