Sun News Desk : The second and last unit of the Payra Power Plant has been shut down from 12:30pm on Monday (June 5) due to persisting coal shortage.

This is the first time that the power plant has been completely shut down since its opening.
Earlier, the first unit of the power plant was shut down on May 25 due to the coal shortage.
