Meanwhile, a mild to moderate heat wave is sweeping across Dhaka, Mymensingh and Khulna divisions, some parts of Rangpur and Rajshahi divisions, and the districts of Sylhet, Patuakhali, Bhola, Barisal, Chandpur, Noakhali and Feni and it may continue, the met office said in its Friday morning weather bulletin.
Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at one or two places in Chittagong and Sylhet divisions, it added.

The weather may remain mostly dry with temporary partly cloudy skies elsewhere across the country, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department forecast.
The prevailing hot weather conditions across the country are likely to continue for the next 72 hours. The highest temperature was recorded 41 degree Celsius in Dinajpur.
