Sun News Desk : Two people were killed in a lightning strike at Mehendiganj upazila in Barishal on Monday.

The deceased were identified as Rassel Bepari, 32, son of Shahid Bepari, and his father-in-law Shahid Bishwas, 69, of the upazila.
Rafiq Dafader, Char Akokria union's village police, said the duo went to catch fish on Sunday night in Gozaria River after Taraweeh prayer.

Other fishermen found their bodies and informed the family.
They died any time at night being hit by lightning strike, Rafiq Dafader said.
