50 shops burnt in Bandarban

Sun News Desk : More than 50 shops were burnt in a fire at Thanchi Bazar in Bandarban on Saturday.

The fire broke out at 8:00am and spread to the adjoining establishments.

Thoaiha Mong Marma, chairman of Thanchi upazila, confirmed the matter.

Two firefighting units worked about three hours to bring the blaze under control.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mohd Abul Mansoor said this is the second incident of fire in Thanchi upazila in last three days.
