Two killed in Turag accident

Sun News Desk: A grandmother and her grandchild were killed when a motorcycle hit them in the Turag area of Gazipur on Wednesday midnight.

The deceased were idendtified as Majeda Khuki, 50, and her granddaughter Rafia Akhter.

Victim Rafia's father Rifat Hossain said they met the tragic end of their lives while returning from a wedding ceremony.

He also said a motorbike hit his mother and child when they were crossing a road beside Metro Rail No 2 station.

They were taken to local hospital immediately where the duo were declared dead at 2am on Thursday.

Police detained the bike rider with the vehicle.
