Sun News Desk: A couple was killed in a gas cylinder explosion in Bhatara area of the capital on Thursday.

The deceased were identified as Abdul Majid Shikder (72) and his wife Taslima Akhtar (45).
It is known that at the time of incident, there was no one else in the house except the husband and wife. Their two sons have been living in Italy for a long time with their families.

They were burnt to death by gas explosion while cooking.
The police of Bhatara police station said After the explosion, a fire broke out. The husband and wife died on the spot due to fire. Later, their bodies were sent to Sohrawadi Medical College Hospital morgue for the post-mortem.
