Staff Reporter: 45 year old, Pachu Sheikh has been arrested by the police in Faridpur’s Boalmari upazila after allegations of rape had been made by his daughter-in-law, Saturday night.

The case file of the incident has provided that Sheikh had entered his daughter-in-law’s room at 10pm on June 12, and mercilessly raped her there.

Following that, his daughter-in-law filed a case against him on June 19, after which he was arrested by the police that night.

Abdur Razzak, Sub-Inspector (SI) of the local Daharnagar police investigation center, has confirmed the facts of the case to be true.

The accused offender, Sheikh, has been sent to court post arrest.

Meanwhile the daughter-in-law has been sent to Faridpur Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College Hospital for health check-ups, said OC of Boalmari Police Station Nurul Alam
