Bangladesh became group champion by defeating USA

Sports Desk: In the women's under-19 World Cup, Bangladesh's girls are on a winning streak . At first they defeated the mighty Australia in the opening match of the tournament. Then in the second match, they beat Sri Lanka and confirmed the Super Six of the World Cup.

Finally, on Wednesday (January 18) in the last match of the group stage, the Bangladeshi girls defeat United States by 5 wickets and became the group champions, completing the hat-trick victory.

After losing the toss and Bangladesh decided to bowl, Bangladesh stopped the United States by a few runs. In the beginning, Disha Biswas brought down Lasia Mullapudi (5) . Then Disha Dhingra and Snigdha Paul made a pair of 57 runs. But Dhringla was run out after scoring 20 runs off 39 balls. Snigdha was out for 26 off 37 balls.

After the wicket of Dhringla and Snigdha, Geetika Kodali and Isani Vaghela the pair made a hundred for the USA. But Geetika fell victim to Marufa Akhtar for 16 runs in the last ball. Isani remained unbeaten on 17 runs.
