Sun News Desk : The Awami League (AL) has given nomination Sajjadul Hasan as its candidate for by-polls to Netrokona-4 constituency.

The decision was taken at a meeting of party’s Parliamentary Nomination Board held at Ganabhaban with AL president Sheikh Hasina in the chair on Friday night.

Awami Leagu General Secretary Obaidul Quader said the matter to the journalists.

Sajjadul’s elder brother Obaidul Hasan is the Justice of Appellate Division of the Supreme Court.

The by-election to the Netrokona-4 constituency that fell vacant following the death of ruling AL lawmaker Rebecca Momin will be held on September 2.

Election Commission (EC) Secretary Md Jahangir Alam announced the schedule of the by-election at Nirbachan Bhaban in the capital’s Agargaon on July 16.
