Four Razakars get death penalty

Sun News Desk : Four war criminals sentenced to death by a tribunal for their crimes against humanity in Pirojpur district during the Liberation war in 1971.

The condemned convicts are- Abdul Mannan Howladar from Bhandaria, Ashrab Ali, Moharaj Howladar and Nurul Amin Hawladar.

A three-member tribunal led by its chairman Justice Md Shahinur Islam pronounced the judgment after reading out the 228-page verdict.

The tribunal prosecutor Saidur Rahman said they have been given highest punishment as four charges were proved against the accused,

Three of them were present at the court during the judgement, while Nurul Amin was on the run.
