Sun News Desk : Rescue ship MV Rustom pulled up the waterbus, which capsized in the Buriganga River after being hit by a bulkhead on Sunday night, from the riverbed.

Fire Service, coast guard and BIWTA are continuing their operation to search the missing persons.
Police, however, detained six persons from the sand-laden bulk carrier.

According to Sadarghat River Police SI Hasan Maruf, the waterbus was pulled out around 8am, 12 hours after it sank. Two of the deceased were identified among three. They are Md Alif, 14, son of Md Babu Miah of Keraniganj; and Md Fahim, 20, son of Sabuj of Dohar.
Around 8.15pm on Sunday, the passenger-laden waterbus sank after being hit by a sand-laden bulkhead in Keraniganj's Telghat area.

Many managed to swim ashore. Three passengers of the waterbus were recovered.
