The one-party system of government established in the country before 1975 deprived the people of their rights; In exactly the same way, the Awami League has come to power by depriving the people of Bangladesh of their rights and destroying democracy.
Members of the Standing Committee headed by Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Moudud Ahmed, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Nazrul Islam Khan, Selima Rahman and Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury laid wreaths at the grave of the party's founder at 11am.
