Special Correspondent: The role of the media in creating the thinking of the new generation in the formation of a developed state is unique. In fact, journalists show the way to the nation, open the third eye of the people, said the Information Minister and the joint general secretary of the Awami League. Hasan Mahmud.
He was speaking as the chief guest online from the official residence of the capital on Thursday (November 5) at noon on the occasion of the Silver Jubilee of the Dhaka Reporters' Unity.
The Information Minister said, "Our common goal is to form a developed state, to create the Bangladesh of Bangabandhu's dream, to transform Bangladesh into a developed state by 2041." And in order to transform it into a developed state, an advanced generation is also needed, which will realize Bangabandhu's dream. And in creating that new generation of thinking, the fourth pillar of the state, the media and the concerned individuals will play a very important role in getting the country in the right direction.
Mentioning the role of journalists in the freedom struggle from our freedom movement and later in the formation of the country. Hasan said, "In today's context, journalists play a very important role in creating a new generation of thinking, opening the third eye in the society, highlighting the inconsistencies of the society, making those responsible more responsible and running the state properly."
The Information Minister also congratulated the DRU for organizing the 25th anniversary program in a beautiful and successful manner, especially for organizing the award for writing on Bangabandhu and wished them success in the future.
DRU President Rafiqul Islam Azad presided over the function and General Secretary Riaz Chowdhury presided over the function. Former BFUJ President Manjurul Ahsan Bulbul, Dhaka Journalists Union President Quddus Afrad and DRU members attended the function as special guests. Special guest on behalf of the Information Minister Manjurul Ahsan Bulbul handed over the DRU award to 15 journalists. Motahar Hossain, the current chief reporter of the daily, spoke on behalf of the honorees.
