Sun News Desk : Some 5,000 to 6,000 shops of six markets were burnt in a massive fire at Bangabazar.

Jahirul Islam, General Secretary of Bangabazar Shop Owners Association and Director of the Anexco Tower, claimed it on Tuesday afternoon.

The massive fire that broke out at Bangabazar market on Tuesday afternoon, was brought under control at 12:36pm.
Being informed about the fire, fifty fire service units rushed to the spot.

A joint support team of the Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Air Force and Bangladesh Navy also joined them to control the fire.
The members of police, RAB and Ansar were also present at the spot to maintain the law and order situation.
