Sun News Desk : Two more metro rail stations has been opened for the commuters on Friday.

With the opening of the two new stations, commuters are able to enjoy the metro rail using all nine stations from Uttara to Agargaon.
Mahfuzur Rahman, manager of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) said Shewrapara and Uttara South stations were opened to commuters at 8am today.

According to the DMTCL, the authorities have formed two teams that will coordinate with the operation teams of the Uttara South and Shewrapara stations for operation.
On December 28, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the country's first elevated metro rail service, setting a milestone in the country's communication history.

She opened an 11.73-km part of the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Line-6 of the metro rail project from Diabari to Agargaon by unveiling its plaque at Diabari in Dhaka.
