Sun News Desk : Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has allocated Tk 9 crore as Eid gift for the shop staffs, businessmen and owners affected by a devastating fire at Bangabazar market in the capital.

Prime Minister’s Principal Secretary Tofazzal Hossain Miah confirmed the matter on Tuesday.
Earlier on April 4, the devastating fire broke out at Bangabazar market and spread to Enexco Tower market, Mohanagar Shopping Complex, Banga Islamia Market and Banga Homeo Market.

Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) formed an 8-member committee to investigate the fire incident.
On April 11, mentioning the names of 845 affected businessmen, the probe committee submitted a report to the DSCC Mayor Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh.
