3 killed as bus-truck clash

Sun News Desk: At least 3 people were killed and two otheres injured after a bus crashed into two motorcycles and a truck in Gaibandha's Palashbari upazila on Monday.

The deceased were identified as Bidyut Sarker, 42, Subhash Chandra, 35, and Sumon Chandra, 35.

Eye witnesses said a speeding bus of 'Barkat Paribahan' crashed into two motorcycles when it reached the Choumatha intersection. Later, it also collided head-on with a truck.

Local people recovered the injured and sent them to the Upazila Health Complex where the three bike riders were declared dead on arrival.

Masud Rana, Palashbari Police Station (OC), said police seized the bus and the truck. The bus driver managed to flee.
