Sun News Desk : At least 24 dengue patients died and 1,623 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours across the country.

The Directorate General of Health Services said this in a press release on Wednesday.
With the new deaths, the fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease in Bangladesh rose to 1,520 this year.

During the period, 1,623 more patients were hospitalised with the viral fever, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
A total of 5,755 dengue patients, including 1,507 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.

So far, the DGHS has recorded 2, 96,665 dengue cases and 2,89,390 recoveries this year.
September has so far been the deadliest month for the dengue outbreak this year with 396 fatalities and 79,598 cases, according to DGHS data.
