12 dengue patients die

Sun News Desk : At least 12 dengue patients died and 2,129 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours across the country.

The Directorate General of Health Services said this in a press release on Friday.

With the latest figure, a total of 1,61,964 were admitted to hospitals this year.

Of the new cases, 899 were reported in Dhaka city and 1,250 were from various parts of the country.

The DGHS said a total of 9,891 patients are currently receiving treatment at different hospitals where 4,016 are in Dhaka.

A total of 1,51,283 were recovered from the hospitals which were 93 per cent of the hospitalised patients. And the percentage of fatalities is 0.5.

The country recorded 281 dengue deaths in 2022 and 179 deaths in 2019.
