Sun News Desk : At least 14 dengue patients died and 2,598 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours across the country.

The Directorate General of Health Services said this in a press release on Saturday.

With the latest death, a total of 804 people died of dengue to date this year.

Currently, 10,330 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka.

Of them, 4,208 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 6,122 are in other divisions.

As many as 1,64,562 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year.

Some 1,53,428 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
