International Desk: Voting is underway in the US presidential election. Voting began in the state of Vermont at around 5am local time on Tuesday, reports BBC.

Voting will also begin in other US states including New York and Virginia within the next few hours.
In this US election, current US Vice President Kamala Harris is contesting from the Democratic Party and former US President Donald Trump is contesting from the Republican Party.

Earlier, according to tradition, voting began at 12 midnight (Tuesday) at the only polling station in Dixville Notch, a small town in the northeastern United States.
There were six registered voters. When their voting ended, the result were also known in a very short time. Trump and Kamala got three votes each.
