He said this at a joint press conference on the Bangladesh-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) in the conference room of the Ministry of Commerce on Tuesday (March 12) at noon.

The state minister said, I think there is relief in the rice market. In this regard, I have not received any disturbance, nor have I received any complaints from you. We have fixed the price of oil from Tk 173 to Tk 163. Oil is being sold at Tk 149 in the open market. We are making sure that the supply is correct in the market.

He said that there is no shortage or shortage of any daily necessities including sugar and pulses in the market. So I would definitely call that a relief. Lemon is a seasonal product. Agricultural products are seasonal. As told you, we have some seasonal products. I have spoken about the Directorate of Agricultural Marketing today. I have spoken to the Agriculture Minister, Agriculture Secretary and Public Administration today, so that they play an active role.

Ahsanul Islam said, agricultural products are seen by the agricultural marketing department. We monitor the market. What we are trying to ensure by monitoring the market, many people think that going to the market is a leap. Some are thinking, new coming to learn, seeing as apprentice. We don't care about this criticism, we look at our own efforts.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has instructed us to make every effort to keep the price of goods within the purchasing power of people. Trying that. Going to wholesale market, retail market. Being trolled on social media, what supply chain wasn't there before? I never said, there was no supply chain, there was no value chain. The components of this value chain need to be strengthened.

At the producing level, those who are producing, there is the transportation system. There are wholesale markets from that transportation system. There is room for improvement. You are talking about the price of lemons. Lemons grow in my area too, Delduar has a lot of lemon markets. There are only lemon blossoms growing in many places. Something is being produced.
