Own Correspondent: Postgola Bridge, one of the gateways of the capital through Dhaka-Bhanga Expressway, has been opened from today after the renovation work. The bridge is located on Buriganga river.

Traffic through this bridge started from 6 am on Saturday (March 9).
In the morning, Mohammad Nazmul, Superintendent Engineer (Narayanganj Circle) of the Directorate of Roads and Public Ways (SOAZ) confirmed the matter and said that the repair work of Postgola Bridge has been completed. After 16 days, the bridge was opened from 6 am today.

It should be noted that the repair work of the bridge started on February 22. Since then heavy vehicles like trucks, pickup vans, covered vans and lorries could not ply on the bridge. Later, the movement of other vehicles including buses and microbuses was also stopped at various stages.
