3 Bangladeshi students killed in road accident in Canada

Sun News Desk: Three Bangladeshi students were killed in a head-on collision between two vehicles in Manitoba, Canada. The crash happened around 6:30 a.m. local time on Thursday (February 18) north of the town of Arborg, 115 kilometers from Winnipeg.

The deceased were identified as Aditya Noman, Aranoor Asad Chowdhury and Rasul Bandhan. Their age is between 23 to 25 years. All three were final year students at the University of Manitoba.

Abdul Baten of the Bangladeshi community said Two cars collided early in the morning on the highway. The three friends had driven north to see Aurora Borealis, or the Northern Lights. . On the way back, they got into an accident.

A 53-year-old woman was in the other, northbound car who received serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital.

The Manitoba Islamic Association is handling the funeral arrangements of the deceased students.Police said two of the students were 23 years old and the age of the third is yet to verify. In the community they were widely known for their public service activities.
