US will Attack Iran's Facilities

International Desk: The United States has approved the plan to attack Iran's various infrastructures located in Syria and Iraq.

US officials told CBS on Thursday (1 February). News: BBC.

They said that those installations will be attacked for several days. However, the timing of the attack depends on the weather conditions. However, the US officials did not say anything specific about the date.

Last Sunday (January 28) after a drone attack on a US base in Jordan killed three soldiers, the United States approved plans to attack various Iranian targets located in Syria and Iraq.

US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said in a press conference on Thursday, "We will not tolerate attacks on US troops." We will take all necessary steps to protect our country, our interests, our citizens.

This is the first time a US soldier has been killed in an attack in the region since Hamas attacked Israel on October 7. The US military said the attack was carried out in northeastern Jordan near the Syrian border.

The United States blamed an Iran-backed armed group for the attack in Jordan. Apart from three killed in that attack, 25 other army personnel were injured. US President Joe Biden said "the attack was carried out by a hardline Iran-backed militant group. We will respond accordingly."
