Sun News Desk : At least 15 dengue patients died and 2,950 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours across the country.

The Directorate General of Health Services said this in a press release on Wednesday.

With the latest death, a total of 958 people died of dengue to date this year.

Currently, 9,967 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka.

Of them, 3,538 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 6,429 are in other divisions.

As many as 1,96,831 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year.

Some 1,85,906 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
