Staff Reporter: 10 people have been arrested in connection with the death of Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Anisul Karim Shipon at Mind Aid Hospital in the capital's Adabar.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Mohammad Harun Aur Rashid confirmed the arrest at a press conference at the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Tejgaon Division) in Shyamoli on Tuesday (November 10) at 12 noon.

He said Anisul Karimak went to Mind Aid Hospital at 12:15 pm on Monday for mental problems. At one point he was seriously ill, hospital authorities said. He was immediately taken to the National Heart Institute. However, after taking him there, the doctor declared him dead.

Later, a video of the beating of senior ASP Anisul Karim Shipon was found in the Aggressive Management Room of Mind Aid Hospital. The video has now gone viral on social media.

Inspector Md. Farooq Mollah said he saw CCTV footage of the hospital with his hands clasped. We have brought 7-8 people to the police station for interrogation. An inquest and autopsy have been conducted on the body of the deceased. A murder case will be filed in this case. Everyone involved will be charged in the case.
