Bangabandhu Signed The Land Boundary Agreement: PM

Staff Correspondent: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said that the land boundary agreement was signed by the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in 1974. He also passed the law. But India has not yet. After 75, Ziaur Rahman, Ershad or Khaleda Zia, whoever came to power, never took the initiative to implement this border agreement or demarcate our border.

She made the statement at the inauguration of two MI-71E helicopters purchased for the BGB Air Wing on Sunday (November 8th).

At this time she declared BGB as a three-dimensional force.

"I have taken the initiative since I first came here and all the parties in the Indian Parliament have passed it together," she said. Now our borders have been pointed out precisely. We are now taking appropriate measures to protect our borders.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has inaugurated two MI-161-E helicopters procured for BGB Air Wing. She joined the function from Ganobhaban on Sunday through video conferencing.

The inauguration ceremony of the two helicopters purchased from Russia for the BGB air wing was held at Bir Anwar Hossain Parade Ground in Pilkhana at 10:30 am today. A documentary titled 'BGB in Acquiring Three-Dimensional Capability' was screened at 10:35 am. The BGB Director General unveiled the book 'Father's Face in Centenary' and handed over the souvenir to the Prime Minister.

Later, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina delivered a concluding address to the BGB and inaugurated the helicopter.

Earlier in the day, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal told the National Assembly that two more helicopters would be procured for the BGB soon. Which is making a significant contribution to BGB operations and logistical support.
