Sun News Desk : A fire broke out at a market near Bangabazar of Barishal Plaza in the capital on Saturday.

Fire Service and Civil Defence control room official Rassel Farruque said a total of 14 firefighting units managed to bring the blaze under their control around 8:45am which started at 8:05am on the third floor of Barishal Plaza. The reason behind the fire could not be known yet.

Meanwhile, On April 4, a massive fire broke out at the Bangabazar Market and it spread to some other nearby markets. More than 5,000 shops were burnt down in the blaze.
