Sun News Desk: A police officer was killed after a bus hit his motorcycle at Kathaltoli area in Barishal on Thursday.

The deceased is Md Nazrul Islam, Officer-in-charge of Special Branch of Barguna district police.
Md Abdus Salam, Barguna Police Superintendent, said, OC Nazrul was going to Barguna from Barishal riding on a motorcycle. A Dhaka-bound car of Hanif Paribahan ran over the motorcycle on the way. Later, local people rushed him to Bakerganj Upazila Health Complex in a critical condition where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.

He also said the body of the deceased will be handed over to his relatives after ending the legal process. Nazrul will be buried at his home in Bakerganj. The killer car was seized from Gouranadi upazila in Barishal.
