Three killed in Tangail road clash

Sun News Desk: At least 3 people were killed and 15 others injured in a road accident at Kalihati upazila in Tangail on Wednesday.

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Bgabandhu Bridge East Police Station officer-in-charge Shafiqul Islam confirmed the matter.

Police said that some 22 men and women were going to an Orosh at Enayetpur in Sirajganj district by a pickup van from Jamalpur district. On the way, the pickup van lost control and fell into a ditch on the side of the highway in Analiyabari area around 1 pm. Two women died on the spot and another woman died on the way to Tangail General Hospital.

Another injured 15 people were rescued and admitted to the hospital.
