The Biden administration said on Tuesday (March 23rd) that it was still open to dialogue with Pyongyang. Because they have long believed that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un would try to send a message to the Biden administration about the importance of his country in the region.
A U.S. official says North Korea has not tested any ballistic missiles. They have tested short-range artillery or cruise missiles. The reason, he said,that the North Korean leader Kim Jong Un would attempt to send a message to the Biden administration about the country's importance in the region.
The launch marks North Korea’s first publicly known weapons test since Biden took office in January. The U.S said they are still open to dialogue.
