He made this comment at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday (April 2).

In response to BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi's statement, "Famine is not just a sound of footsteps in the country, famine exists," the Foreign Minister remarked that based on Mr. Rizvi's statement, it appears advisable to assess his mental state for stability. When Rizvi is able to say that famine has started or famine is prevailing in the country, it raises questions about his mental health.

He said, most of the money was smuggled during the tenure of BNP. Not that it didn't happen later, it happened later. There are various international laws and complications with them. We are working on them.

Dr. Hasan Mahmud also said that the Acting Chairman of BNP (Tareq Rahman) came to Bangladesh and signed the API against money laundering and was punished. The money smuggled by Khaleda Zia's second son Arafat Rahman was brought back to Bangladesh from Singapore. When they were in power, Bangladesh became the champion of corruption five times in a row. Rizvi employed absurdity to conceal their actions.
